E'Tutto Qua

A couple of friends and I took a weekend road trip to San Francisco to celebrate the New Year. As with most road trips that are taken with moi, this one included a lot of eating. One of the most memorable meals I had this weekend was at E'Tutto Qua. I was drawn to ordering the paccheri golosi because the words "prosciutto" and "mushrooms" in the description caught my attention. I love prosciutto and I love mushrooms! However, the dish was a little different from what I had anticipated. I'm no expert in Italian cuisine, so I was a little surprise when the waiter told me that the prosciutto and mushrooms were going to be grounded together. I thought...really? Okay. I guess it won't kill me to not eat prosciutto in it's normal thinly sliced form right? I was right and it was delicious. I thought the tube pasta could have been a little softer because that's the way I like it, but the sauce was to die for. After we were done with all the pasta, it took a lot of self control for me to not reach for the bread to soak up the sauce to savor the last bit of it. Just look at the pic below. It's kinda beautiful isn't it?

For dessert, I decided to split a chocolate souffle. It was okay. Pretty, but just okay.

Margie and Peian decided to order the panna cotta and I'm so glad they did. OMG! It was the perfect consistency, not too soft and it tasted like creme brulee and custard. My mouth is watering just writing about it right now.

So that's the first post of the new year. If I can eat like this all through 2010, I think this might just be a pretty awesome year. ;P

  1. That panna cotta looks amazing. The paccheri golosi looks so rich you could die eating it! Really good find Rennie! I'll be sure to hit this place up when I am in San Francisco.
